St. Nicholas Abbey

Experience the enchanting beauty of this immaculately preserved mansion, while enjoying a tour of the working rum distillery and museum which will take you back in time to the 18th century sugar plantation life in Barbados.

 

Enjoy your tour through the Great House to admire the architecture and historical furnishings and well as your tour of the rum distillery which showcases the process of making rum from “field to bottle”.

You’ll be free to tour at your own pace or have a guided tour with opportunities to have quiet reflection or relaxation on the beautifully landscaped grounds with its tropical flora, natural gullies and mahogany forests.  Quench your thirst at the terrace café, which offers light refreshments for tour visitors and secure your treasures from the onsite gift shop.

OPENING HOURS

St. Nicholas Abbey is opened 6 days each week Sunday through Friday. 

Hours of operation are 10:00 am with the last tour at 3.30 pm.

Closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Kadooment Day.  Open for half-day on 31st December.

Adults (13 and over):  Bds $45 (USD $23)

Youth (Ages 5 – 12):  Bdds $20 (USD $10)
